Depression/Anxiety

You’ve felt stuck for too long.

You’re not sure which started first, the depression or the anxiety. Whichever it was, life is currently at a standstill.

At this point, it all feels overwhelming and hopeless.

Your relationships aren’t panning out, and your job search feels fruitless.

Your chest is tight. You walk around in a fog; it’s hard to make decisions, so you don’t.

Peace feels like a far-off dream.

The only peace you get is when you can escape into sleep – or maybe some other habit that doesn’t seem to serve you like food, alcohol, sex, or shopping.

You can’t remember the last time you laughed and felt at ease, connected, and engaged with other people and life itself.

At the least little thing, you feel irritated, and nothing seems to satisfy you.

Making decisions feels impossible, and you have no idea what to do next.

Sometimes you have to go deeper to get out.

The truth as I see it is that life is hard and beautiful. I believe even our bad, sad, miserable moods and the places we find ourselves stuck have something to teach us if we turn toward them instead of reaching for a quick fix.

In the places that scare us, we get to choose whether it’s more effective to go deeper into the feeling – let ourselves be a little lost, and when it’s more effective to take action in the face of fear or apathy.

Finding the right balance can be tricky. It requires knowledge of yourself and an awareness of where you can influence the outcome and when it’s more effective to accept and let it be.

Counseling can help in this process.

Pave your path forward.

We will work together to help you identify patterns and situations in your life that contribute to fear and panic, depression, and hopelessness.

I will help you figure out what you can directly control, what you can only influence, and I can help you learn to accept the rest. Hint: there is so precious little we control, but there is a lot we can influence.

We will work together to develop strategies that help you face the day and find the joy that exists in your life as it is. And we’ll work to create an anti-depressant lifestyle that keeps you taking action in line with what’s really important to you.

I know this is possible, and I want you to experience it. Call me today, and let’s start talking about where you’re stuck and help you get out of this rut.

You can meet the challenges in this moment!
